Kate Gosselin Wants to Become a Producer

Kate Gosselin has been the star of her reality series for over four years and recently announced that she would like to try sitting in the production chair.

In an interview with Huffington Post, Gosselin spoke about having the ability to produce her show.

“I’m really good at producing our show because I know our lives. I know how to convey us for real,” Gosselin told the Post. “I know when things translate into TV and what’s not quite as accurate as you want it to be. I’m good at it 'cause I live this life.”

Rather than solely producing her show, Gosselin said she was interested in helping others realize their reality television dreams.

“I have had people come to me and say ‘I have this great idea for a reality TV show,’” Gosselin told Post reporters. “I actually, in my mind, can play it out and see it happening...for me it's like writing a living book and I really love to write.”

According to Gosselin, who originally appeared on the show with her ex-husband in 2007, she has already been active in producing the hit reality television show, “Kate Plus 8.”

“I have always been very true to who we are,” Gosselin said to the Post. “In that regard I have always helped produce. Now in recent seasons it’s easier because I can see it from my life as well as seeing how episodes come together from their [producers] perspective.”

Aside from trying her hand at production, Gosselin said her children are pushing her to remarry.

"I'm hoping that person is out there, because the kids on a daily basis are just begging me to get married again. They bring it up all the time," she told Ann Curry of the “Today” show on Monday morning. “I'm definitely ready to start dating."

The single mother divorced former reality star husband Jon in 2009. The second half “Kate Plus 8” season 2 will premiere Monday night on TLC.
