Katy Perry Birthday Party: Singer Dresses as Vampire for Costume Party

Katy Perry held a birthday party on Friday, despite the fact that her actual birthday isn't until Oct. 25.

The music star decided to kick things off a bit early and held a big costume party on Friday to celebrate with her friends, dressing up like a vampire.

On Oct. 25 Perry will be turning 28 years old, and she has had a tough year following her split from husband Russell Brand. However, she is putting everything behind her and on Friday she held her bash at Los Angeles venue Magic Castle. She was joined by a host of celebrities including John Mayer, Kristen Stewart, Diane Warren, Neil Patrick Harris, as well as America's Next Top Model star Kohnny Wujek.

Mayer was one of the best dressed at the costume party, coming as a vampire, and using a prosthetic nose and chin to complete his authentic look, according to Just Jared.

Perry used her party bash to ask people for donations to support the David Lynch Foundation or Transcendental Meditation.

Meanwhile in reports earlier this week Katy Perry helped John Mayer celebrate his 35th birthday in New York City on Tuesday as the pair stepped out to dinner together.

The pair have been rumored to be dating since earlier this summer, but despite long-standing rumors of their romance, the couple has never been photographed holding hands or displaying any intimate affection toward one another.

Some have expressed concerns over Perry's relationship with Mayer, who has been romantically linked to women including Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Aniston and Taylor Swift, among many others. They are worried that she will eventually just be another name in his long list of girlfriends, where as she would prefer to find someone to settle down with and fall in love.
