Katy Perry Flaunts New Purple Hair at Coachella

Pop princess Katy Perry has debuted her new hair color at California's music festival Coachella over the weekend.

The 27-year-old singer changed her locks from blue to a deep purple while enjoying performances of several groups such as The Black Keys, Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, and Swedish House Mafia.

The "California Gurlz" singer paired the purple hair with a sheer floral dress which revealed black undergarments, leaving little to the imagination.

Well known for unconventional hair color, Perry has dyed her hair black, blonde, and pink all within the past year.

It has been a year of many other changes for the singer as well. Perry split with from husband Russell Brand in December after 14 months of marriage. Last week, Brand surrendered his interest in the $5.6 million home he and Perry shared while married.

While Perry remains mum on the divorce, Brand has opened up about his life following the split, hinging that he feels indifferent.

"I'm doing well," said the 36-year-old comedian speaking to People magazine. "You don't need to brush it off if you don't get it on you in the first place," he said cryptically.

With her divorce pending, Perry let loose at Coachella and was not the only superstar to attend the festival. She was seen holding the hand of her friend Rihanna before the pair danced in the crowd.

Rihanna, who wore a small top and short jean shorts, performed with Calvin Harris on the third day of the festival.

The Barbados native later thanked the singer for allowing her to perform with him via Twitter, noting that Perry watched.

"@CalvinHarris I had so much fun with your [expletive] fanz tonight! Diz hoodrat $kabii @KatyPerry also crowd surfeit… during my show," wrote Rihanna.

Also, "Glee" actors Lea Michele and Cory Monteith attended alongside Vanessa Hudgens, Emma Roberts and Chord Overstreet. "Twilight" star Kellan Lutz and Gerard Butler were also spotted at the desert location, along with many other celebrities.
