The four were all selected to be in the new commercial by Adidas titled "We All Run." The commercial features the pop singer as she runs near the beach in Los Angeles and aims to widen its appeal to incorporate running enthusiasts and not just the sports fanatics.

"I can't run from where I came from, nobody can," is seen in the beginning of Katy Perry's biography on Adidas.com.

Perry is familiar with using her image to promote athletic apparel, having done a number of television spots for the sports company since 2011, as well as being one of the faces of their woman's sports line.

"We all have a different reason to run. Watch David Beckham, Lionel Messi, Derrick Rose and Katy Perry go all in on their run. Whatever the reason, wherever you are, go farther and enjoy every stride," the commercial states.

On Perry's biography page on Adidas.com, the pop star does not mention her own running abilities. She explained that she loves to put on cute and adorable things.

Perry said on the website: "I like to wear things that have a sense of humor and that are adorable… I'm inspired by a lot of different things… pop culture, different females, humor."
