Khloe Kardashian, Lamar Odom Drama Destroying Kardashian Brand, Say TV Execs

There are rumors swirling that with the recent troubles plaguing Khloe Kardashian and her husband Lamar Odom, the family's brand is at risk.

Industry insiders and television executives are coming to the same conclusion: The Kardashian era could be coming to a close.

After years of endorsement deals and magazine covers, Kardashian products are now tapering off and support for the reality family is dwindling after Odom's cheating and alleged drug scandal brought increased scrutiny to television's first family.

Keeping up with the Kardashians contract is up in 2015 and insiders are speculating that it could be the last time a Kardashian is on television.

With contract negotiations approaching, "maintaining their brand image is paramount [right now]," branding and marketing expert Liz Goodgold told RadarOnline.com.

"[Kim, Khloe and Kourtney] really don't have anything going for them at this point," branding expert Rob Frankel told The Hollywood Gossip. "Brands are about building trust and value … The Kardashians don't care about that, they care about marketing, slapping their name on whatever they can until the interest runs out."

"[After 2015], it's on to [Kendall and Kylie], the other acts that they've got coming up," he surmised. Kim, Khloe and Kourtney "were really a disposable property. They never had a strategy to keep that identity going for the long-term."

Members of the Kardashian family are worried that Odom, 33, is addicted to the painkiller OxyContin and sleeping pill, Ambien. The new developments come on top the recent cheating allegations levied by two women against Odom.

"Kris is seeing red," a family insider told Radar Online. "Kris fiercely protects the Kardashian brand name and empire and to now have it associated with a drug problem, to her, it's unacceptable. She used to be very close to Lamar, but she is disgusted by what has happened."

Hollywood publicist Michael Levine agrees, telling Radar, "They knew at some point the show was gonna end all along! And I don't think the show ever had much credibility to begin with."
