Kim Kardashian dyed her hair back to brown last week and despite reports suggesting the new look is for a Vogue cover shoot, sources claim this is not true.

The reality TV star, 33, along with her sisters Khloe and Kylie were filming scenes for their family's hit show in Los Angeles on Saturday when onlookers observed Kardashian's new hair 'do. The E! star dyed her hair blonde last year however she decided to go back to her natural hair color.

"I'm so annoyed I dyed my hair dark! I wanted to switch it up since I feel everyone went light, and we started filming a new season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, so [I] wanted a fresh look," Kardashian wrote to fans via social media site Mobio Insider on Monday.

"BUT now I am missing my light hair! HELP!!! What do I do? Go light again or stay dark and get used to it?" she added.

Just one day prior Gossip site Jezebel claimed the reality TV star was being photographed for leading fashion magazine Vogue, which led to speculation that her newly dyed hair was possibly be for a cover shoot.

"They're in LA shooting RIGHT NOW," a source was quoted as telling Jezebel.

On Monday a high-placed publishing insider reportedly dismissed the reports, insisting that Kardashian is not being photographed for Vogue.

"The rumors about Kim shooting the U.S. Vogue cover are NOT true," a source told RadarOnline.com.

Kardashian reportedly got rid of her ombre blonde 'do because she wanted a change.

"Tracey Cunningham did it. She's amazing. Kim just wanted to change it up! It seems like everyone went blonde, so it was time to change it up," a source told Us magazine.

The Vogue report comes days after a source claimed Kardashian's fiance Kanye West confronted Editor-In-Chief Anna Wintour about "Girls" creator Lena Dunham's cover. Dunham appeared on the highly respected fashion publication's February issue and West, 36, reportedly believes it is unfair that Kardashian has still never been considered to appear on the magazine.

"Kanye thinks that Kim has a much bigger fan base and appeal than Lena. To Kanye, it's insulting that his friend Anna is still refusing to even consider putting Kim on the cover of Vogue," the insider explained.

West reportedly approached Wintour with his concerns during a power lunch at the Beverly Hills Polo Lounge. The fashion icon is reportedly not fond of reality stars including Kardashian, who rose to stardom in 2007 following the release of a sex tape.

"He thinks Anna is listening to a bunch of 'know-nothing' corporate haters, as he put it. He's upset that Anna isn't willing to do him this personal favor and put Kim on the cover," the source revealed.

"Kanye knows that it's always been a huge dream of Kim's to be on the Vogue cover and Kanye wants to make it comes true," the source added. "If nothing else, Kanye is persistent."
