Kim Kardashian Baby Name: Reality Star Had 'Natural' Birth, 'No Official Name'

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have reportedly not yet chosen a name for their newborn daughter, despite reports claiming otherwise.

The couple, who have dated for one year, welcomed the birth of their first child in Los Angeles on Saturday and fans are eagerly awaiting the first photo along with name details. Reports claimed the pair had selected a "K" themed name to continue the Kardashian family tradition, however this is said to be untrue.

"Kim is being very protective of the baby and she says there is no official name," a source told People magazine adding that the Hollywood couple is however close to choosing a name.

On Friday Kardashian, 32, reportedly began to experience discomfort which led to her hospitalization. The baby girl, who weighed in at under five pounds, was born five weeks premature.

"She was admitted with medical complications and her doctor made the decision that her baby needed to be delivered. Kim had a natural birth," the source revealed.

"If Kim would have had very serious complications, her doctor would have decided to do an emergency c-section instead," the source went on.

The only details that have been released to the public is that both mother and child are both doing well. One insider claimed to have details about the newborn's appearance, revealing that she resembles her reality TV star mother more than her rapper father.

"She has dark hair," a source told E! News. "She looks just like Kim."

On Monday various celebrity gossip websites claimed to have exclusive details on Kardashian's baby's name. HollywoodLife.com quoted a family insider in a report that revealed a potential baby name.

"Kai Georgia Donda West has been mentioned," the alleged family insider told HL.

Kardashian previously admitted that her daughter may have a "k" themed name for the sake of family tradition.

"We have a list and some of them are "K" names some of them aren't," Kardashian previously told talk show host Jay Leno.

"I think it would be really cute because Kanye and I are both K's, but half the names on our list aren't K's," she told Extra.
