Kim Kardashian, Janet Jackson Named PETA's 2011 'Celebrity Grinches' (VIDEO)

Janet Jackson and Kim Kardashian have topped the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animal’s (PETA) list of the most “animal-unfriendly” celebrities of 2011 – naming both “Celebrity Grinches.”

PETA blasted Jackson for designing a fur collection with Blackglama in 2010 and now the singer’s animal-skin wearing habits have won her the “Grinch” award.

“When Janet Jackson had her infamous 'wardrobe malfunction' during the Super Bowl, at least the flesh that popped into view was her own--unlike the stolen animal skins that she drapes herself with, which are as dead as her taste in fashion (not to mention her career). Ms. Jackson, you're just plain nasty,” wrote the organization in a blog post.

PETA also singled out Kardashian, saying that it was too bad the reality star did not have any “enthusiasm for faking her fur.”

“Some have speculated that Kim Kardashian's wedding to NBA forward Kris Humphries was fake,” the post read. “Too bad the socialite princess doesn't have the same enthusiasm for faking her fur. Unlike her sweet sister Khloe, who starred in her own PETA anti-fur ad, Kim just can't seem to divorce herself from fur and say 'I do' to a kind and kompassionate wardrobe.”

This is not the first time that Kardashian has been under fire for her love of fur.

In an earlier statement, PETA Senior Vice President Lisa Lange wrote on the group's website: “Kim knows that animals on fur farms are beaten, electrocuted, and often skinned alive.”

“We've explained it to her, and she's watched a video expose that was filmed inside fur farms. When Kim is ready to put an end to her relationship with fur, PETA will be happy to take her discards and donate them to the homeless.”

The top three "Celebrity Grinches" of 2011 are Janet Jackson, Cameron Crowe, and Kim Kardashian.
