Kim Kardashian, Kris Humphries Divorce Case Settled: Details 'Confidential'

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries have reportedly settled their divorce case 18 months after the reality TV star filed to end the marriage.

Humphries, 28, had previously denied Kardashian's request for a divorce and insisted on an annulment of their marriage based on fraud. The pair reportedly re-entered negotiations Friday and finally came to some type of agreement ahead of their scheduled May 6 divorce trial.

"[The exes] settled their year-and-a-half long divorce battle, and it looks like it will be announced in court today, " TMZ.com reported, adding that details of the settlement remain "confidential."

Kardashian, 31, infamously filed for divorce from the NBA star, 28, after just 72 days of marriage, which raised questions about whether or not the union was legitimate. The reality TV star, who allegedly pocketed close to $18 million from the over-the-top wedding, was accused of defrauding Humphries and duping him into marriage for financial gain.

"The only way that this case won't go to trial is if Kim publicly apologizes to Kris and admits that she only married him for television ratings. Kris just wants the truth to come out and Kim is just absolutely livid that she isn't getting her own way," a source previously told RadarOnline.com.

The reported settlement suggests that either Kardashian may have agreed to her ex-husband's requests and fans are now speculating whether the pregnant reality TV star is gearing up to release a public apology.

It was revealed Thursday that the Brooklyn Nets star was willing to settle, but only on condition that Kardashian apologize.

"Kris has never said he won't settle, but he has certain conditions and terms that he wants Kim to agree to that don't include money," a source said.

"Put simply, if Kim were to formally apologize to Kris in court tomorrow— and if he felt it were sincere— he would likely agree to end the marriage and avoid the trial," the source revealed, adding that Humphries also wants Kardashian to release a formal statement to the media apologizing.
