Kim Kardashian has received fashion advice from singer Bette Midler amid ongoing criticism surrounding the reality TV star's appearance.

Midler, 67, took to social networking site Twitter to give Kardashian, 31, tips on what to wear while pregnant. Critics have been openly questioning Kardashian's maternity fashion choices in recent months.

"I know it's so last week, but @KimKardashian would look adorable in the maternity clothes they have just on my block!! I buy them myself!!" Midler tweeted.

Kardashian, who recently condemned the ongoing criticism, appeared to be delighted by Midler's suggestion.

"Let's go shopping!" Kardashian tweeted in response to Midler.

The reality TV star is renowned for her sexy, figure hugging fashion style and although she is five months along in her pregnancy, she insists on maintaining the same look. Critics have openly questioned the appropriateness of her sexy looks during pregnancy, with some media outlets going as far as describing her appearance as "fat."

"I think it's a little bully-ish to call a pregnant woman fat," Kardashian told talk show host Jay Leno. "I mean what do you expect? I hope I gain weight. I'm a little heavy."

In addition to Midler, Kardashian has also received advice from MTV star Snooki and support from supermodel Helena Christensen.

"If your face isn't already made up when your water breaks you have plenty of time to do it in the hospital when you're waiting to dilate," Snooki said in a video message to Kardashian.

Christensen lashed out at critics for what she described as being "disgusting" media scrutiny of a pregnant woman.

"It is disgusting and despicable the way that certain media constantly harass the pregnant Kim Kardashian," Christensen wrote in a letter obtained by the Huffington Post.

"No one should ever be publicly judged for their body, but to attack an expecting mother is sacrilegious and just plain wrong," she continued. "A pregnant woman should not be criticized for her shape, period!!"
