Kim Kardashian Tipped Off Paparazzi While Dating Nick Lachey

Nick Lachey recently called out Kim Kardashian for allegedly tipping off the media when they briefly dated in 2006.

Lachey, who is married to TV host Vanessa Lachey (formerly Minnillo), was overcoming his 2005 divorce from singer Jessica Simpson when he agreed to date Kardashian, 31. In a recent interview with Details magazine he was asked about the experience.

"In Kardashian Konfidential, Kim traces her fame to a date with you in 2006 that showed up in the tabloids the next day. Can we blame you for her ubiquity?" the magazine asked the new dad for its May 2013 issue.

Lachey, 39, appeared to gave a response that paints Kardashian as being fame hungry. The reality TV star rose to stardom the following year after the release of her sex tape.

"That's one way to interpret it. Let's just say this: We went to a movie. No one followed us there. Somehow, mysteriously, when we left, there were 30 photographers waiting outside," Lachey revealed laughing, according to RadarOnline.

"There are certain ways to play this game, and some people play it well," he added.

"She also had some help from that sex tape," the magazine writer added, to which Lachey responded "Yeah, well that was already in the can!"

Lachey is among a growing list of Hollywood stars who have spoken out against Kardashian with various critics openly questioning her famous family's celebrity status.

"James Bond" actor Daniel Craig previously referred to Kim as an "idiot" in an interview with GQ magazine. He blasted her for making a living by selling her private life to the E! network.

"It's not about being afraid to be public with your emotions or about who you are and what you stand for. But if you sell it off it's gone. You can't buy it back-- you can't buy your privacy back," Craig told the GQ magazine U.K.

"Mad Men" actor Jon Hamm also openly criticized Kardashian's fame status in an interview with Elle magazine U.K.

"Being a f------ idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture. You're rewarded significantly. Whether it's Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated," Hamm told Elle magazine.

"Bourne Legacy" star Jeremy Renner also weighed in on the Kardashians.

"Oh, all those ridiculous people with zero talent who spend their lives making sure everyone knows their name. Those stupid, stupid people!" Renner, 41, told The Guardian U.K.
