Kim Kardashian Wedding Being Taken Over by Kanye West, Sources Say Its 'His' Wedding

Many brides-to-be are eager to take charge when planning their wedding, but in the case of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian the groom-to-be is taking the lead and turning this into "his" wedding.

"Kanye has a very specific vision of what the ceremony should look like and this won't be an understated or intimate event," a source close to the family told the Hollywood Gossip.

"Kanye wants the wedding to take place in Paris and has even indicated that he is willing to fly over Kim's family on his dime," the insider added.

Kardashian is happy and eager to let West take charge after West planned her birthday event in Las Vegas last Friday.

"Kim is just letting Kanye take charge, as she has done with all other parts of her life. She is being consulted on everything, but it's very different from how Kim handled her wedding to Kris," the insider added. "That was Kim's wedding. This is going to be Kanye's wedding."

West rented out AT&T Park in San Francisco and invited close friends and family to witness the big event. Among those in attendance was Jenner who reportedly gave West her blessing before he dropped to one knee and asked for Kim's hand in marriage.

West had the words "PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!" posted on the stadium jumbotron and hired a 50-piece orchestra to play Lana Del Rey's "Young and Beautiful" in honor of the occasion.

Never one to miss out on a big occasion West then had the orchestra's performance followed West's own track with Ne-Yo and Keri Hilson, "Knock You Down."

The engagement ring was also a 15-carat diamond designed by Lorraine Schwartz.

After West received a response in the positive fireworks and roman candles were set off and those who had been invited came charging out of the dugout to celebrate the special moment.
