Kim Richards of 'Real Housewives' Reveals Going to Rehab for Alcoholism (VIDEO)

Brandi Glanville's Crystal Meth Rumors Hurt Daughters, Reality TV Star Reveals

Former child star Kim Richards admitted she had to get help at rehab for problems with alcohol and faces an uncertain future on the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" reality television show, an interview revealed.

Richards sat down with the show's host, Andy Cohen, on Monday Feb. 13 on Bravo and talked about the questionable ways she behaved during "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" second season, and opened up to a host of problems she had been struggling with, Zap2it.com reported.

Of all the rumors swirling around her, she says that the most hurtful one concerned her allegedly doing crystal meth in a bathroom during a game night at Beverly Hills. She said that the rumor, started by Brandi Glanville, a fashion model who also appeared on the second season of the show, affected her daughters badly, and she admitted she had to enter rehab because she "couldn't look at [herself] in the mirror anymore."

"I had so much guilt and shame for my behavior," the former children's star shared with Cohen, according to Life & Style magazine. "Then I drank to cover the guilt and shame and make it go away. It's a vicious cycle."

"I'm an alcoholic. I'm an alcoholic," Richards disclosed, plainly stating why she needed to check herself into rehab. Her stay at the undisclosed clinic lasted a little bit longer than a month, after she entered on Dec. 5 and left in early January, On The Red Carpet reported.

"I've struggled with it, and I've been working on it for a while. I am a person who has done it and relapsed and done it [again]," "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star explained. "I'm really trying."

On the Jan. 16 episode of the show, Richards locked herself in the bathroom while getting ready to go to the opening of cast member Lisa Vanderpump's restaurant "Sur," and admitted to her sister, Kyle Richards, that her relationship with her boyfriend, identified as Ken, was not stable.
