'Kingdom Hearts 3' PS4, Xbox One Release Still Unannounced

Kingdom Hearts III

With fans eagerly anticipating the arrival of the next game in the "Kingdom Hearts" series, rumors have been flying around about the game's release date. There were also reports that the game will be delayed and will skip 2015. What Square Enix has confirmed so far is that the game's release date remains unannounced, which has always been the case since the game was announced in 2013.

Perhaps to counter any rumors that the game is indeed delayed, the game's director, Tetsuya Nomura recently told Famitsu that the game's development is progressing "smoothly."

According to a report in IGN, Nomura said that fans of the game should learn more during the upcoming D23 Expo in Japan in November.

"We have some interesting things planned," he said. "There will be Kingdom Hearts III news, and various things, I think. Kingdom Hearts III development is going smoothly, but there will also be new announcements connected to it."

One of the new announcements he hinted is about a possible smartphone-specific development for "Kingdom Hearts."

Despite this recent confirmation however, another report has come out claiming that the game's developers are "experiencing troubles with 'Kingdom Hearts 3' image processing." According to a report in Venture Capital Post, Nomura said that "the development team is not satisfied with the current look of the game" and are "working on revamping the game's visuals and quality."

"Kingdom Hearts 3" is a fantasy and Disney-themed action role-playing game, which features Disney characters such as Goofy, Donald Duck, and Mickey. The new game may also feature other Disney characters. It is the eighth installment of the series, and is the first game in the series to be released on more than one console.

To date, "Kingdom Hearts 3" is ranked fifth among the most wanted games in 2015, according to a report in Gaming Bolt.
