Kirsten Dunst: Brad Pitt Was My 'Disgusting' First Kiss
Kirsten Dunst has opened up about her experiences while filming 1994's "Interview with the Vampire" in an interview this week.
The 30-year-old actress was just age 10 when she landed her breakthrough role on the film, which was based on Anne Rice's novel.
Also, it was while filming "Interview with the Vampire" that the actress received her first kiss with co-star Brad Pitt. In an unlikely admission, Dunst explained that the kiss with one of today's highest paid actors was "disgusting" while speaking to Bullet magazine.
"It was just a peck," the "Spider-Man" star recounted.
"I remember Brad would watch lots of 'Real World' episodes," Dunst continued of the actor, who is 18 years her senior. "He was just a hippie-cool dude. Everyone as the time was like, 'You're so lucky you kissed Brad Pitt,' but I thought it was disgusting."
Today, Pitt is engaged to fellow Hollywood A-lister Angelina Jolie and remains among the most recognized people in the world.
"I didn't kiss anyone else until I was 16, I think," added Dunst. "I was a late bloomer."
Although "Interview with the Vampire" was not a box office hit, Dunst's performance earned critical acclaim as well as her first Golden Globe Award nomination. In it, she portrayed child vampire Claudia, the surrogate daughter of Pitt and Tom Cruise.
Dunst went on to star in 1994's "Little Women" alongside Winona Ryder and Claire Danes, where she scored more critical praise for her acting.
Furthermore, Dunst has appeared in top-grossing films such as "Jumanji" and "Spider-Man," among many other projects. Her most recent film was "Melancholia," for which she received the Best Actress Award at Cannes.
Later this year, Dunst will appear in "Charm" as well as in "The Two Faces of Junary," with "Cities" to follow in 2014.
