Kris Jenner Calls Out Obama Over Criticism Directed at Kim and Kanye

Kris Jenner responded to President Obama's criticism of her daughter Kim Kardashian and Kanye West on Friday's episode of her talk show "Kris."

"It's really great that people aspire to get a great job ... but I wasn't aware that you could only set the bar so high and that we could only dream so big," Jenner said after she read Obama's remarks aloud. "I was taught: Dream big, work hard and you could have whatever you wanted."

"I bet the President has some friends with 10,000-square-foot houses and that he wouldn't mind going over there… when [he was] asking them to have a party for [him] while [he was] campaigning for dollars to run for president," she added.

Jenner took issue with the president calling out the celebrity couple without making reference to other successful individuals who have worked hard for what they have earned. She went on to suggest that the president was hypocritical for singling out the pair without referencing those whom the president knows that also are very wealthy.

President Obama openly criticized Kim Kardashian and her family by stating that their reality TV show and others like it have helped create a mindset obsessed with the celebrity culture and not the traditional American dream.

"The American dream involved some pretty basic stuff -- a good job where you felt some security, a good education ... People felt if they worked hard they could get there ... I don't think people went around saying to themselves, 'I need to have a 10,000-square-foot house' ... I think there has also been a shift in culture," the President said.

"We weren't exposed to the things we didn't have in the same way that kids these days are. There was not that window into the lifestyles of the rich and famous. Kids weren't monitoring every day what Kim Kardashian was wearing or where Kanye West was going on vacation and thinking that somehow that was the mark of success," he continued.
