The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Chicago Cubs will clash in a big Game 5 in their MLB Playoffs 2017 National League Division Series on Thursday night. The game has a scheduled start time of 8.08 p.m. ET and takes place from Wrigley Field in Chicago, Illinois. The game can be watched on TV on the TBS network or online through live stream (details below).
The Cubs saw off the threat of elimination for one more game with a victory in Game 4 to ensure they do not suffer a sweeping defeat at the hands of the LA Dodgers.
However, they face another elimination game today, and must claim another win to force the series back to Los Angeles for a Game 6, and potentially a deciding Game 7.
The Dodgers had stretched out to a 3-0 lead in this best of seven series, but failed at the first of four attempts they will have to claim one more in to claim the pennant and make their way to the World Series 2017.
The Cubs had surrendered sadly in Game 3, and most thought they would be swept in Game 4, but they were revitalized enough to push this series one more game. They of course had the celebration of the century in 2016 when they claimed their first World Series for 108 years, and they had been hoping to repeat that again this year, but in all honesty that now looks like it won't come into fruition.
All the Cubs can do is take it one game at a time right now and try and extend things one more game.
