LA Lakers vs Oklahoma City Thunder takes place on Friday night in the NBA, with Kobe Bryant looking to build upon his recent achievement of becoming the fifth player to pass 30,000 points. The game is scheduled to tip off at 6.30 p.m. PT and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).

The game will see the league's to top scorers face off, with the Lakers' Kobe Bryant facing off against the Thunders' Kevin Durant.

The Thunder are coming into the game on the back of a six game winning streak, and will be the first time the two teams have met since last season's playoffs.

In the Lakers' last game they defeated New Orleans 103-87, with Bryant scoring 29 points, moving him up to 30,016 points in his professional career. He joins Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone, Michael Jordan and Wilt Chamberlain as the only players in the NBA to pass 30,000 points.

Speaking about his achievement after the game Bryant said, "It's pretty awesome. These are players I respect tremendously and obviously grew up idolizing and watching and learned a great deal from," according to

Meanwhile, tonight 34 year old Bryant will be coming up against 24 year old Durant, touted by most pundits to be a future player to join the 30,000+ club. Earlier this season Durant became the second-youngest player ever in the NBA to reach the 10,000 point mark.

Durant spoke about how much respect he has for Bryant ahead of tonight's game: "I know he's an old fart. Since I was about 8 years old, watching him dominate every year he's been in the league, it's been a joy to watch. It was just an honor and a blessing to play on his team this summer in the Olympics."

He added, "To get 30,000 points, man, you're one of only five guys to do it so far, it's just an unbelievable accomplishment. It's good to say you've played in the game with a great player, probably the best player in my era that I've ever seen. It's great to have somebody to kind of aim to and look up to and just compete against on a high level."

With two of the best players in the NBA facing off tonight this is sure to be a game not to miss.
