The actor's body was discovered after he had failed to arrive to the set of "Rizzoli & Isles" on Monday. Staffers on the show called Young's landlord to check on him when he was discovered dead. Little additional information was available following the news of Young's death.

On Twitter, fans immediately expressed shock and grief over the actor's tragic death. Jett Jackson, Lee Thompson Young and Rizzoli & Isles all became trending topics on the social media site within hours of the news of his death on Monday.

"Payers up for Lee Thompson Young and everyone else feeling hopeless with suicidal thoughts. Such a horrible place to be," wrote one shocked fan, Ryan.

The Disney star's death is the latest tragedy to rock the entertainment industry. Just last week, "The Bachelor" star Gia Allemande died after wounds suffered during a suicide attempt.

The 29-year-old model was removed from a life support machine at a New Orleans hospital after doctors determined that she had suffered "critical loss of brain and organ function," her family said in a statement.

Furthermore, actress Lisa Robin Kelly died at age 43 on Wednesday, August 14, according to her agent.

The actress, best known for her role on "That '70's Show," had endured a years-long battle against addiction.

"Lisa had voluntarily check herself into a treatment facility early this week where she was battling the addiction problems that have plagued her these past few years," said her agent, Craig Wyckoff, according to CNN.

"I spoke to her on Monday and she was hopeful and confident, looking forward to putting this part of her life behind her," he recalled.

Despite Kelly's optimistic attitude, the actress was found dead in the California rehab facility on Wednesday night, according to TMZ.

"Cause of death has not been issued yet and no death certificate has been issued either," Wyckoff noted, reported CNN.

As of Monday, a clear cause of death was still unknown.
