'LEGO Worlds' Release Date Delay Update: TT Games Confirms Release Moved to March 7 for PS4, Xbox One and PC

Warner Bros.' "Minecraft"-inspired "LEGO Worlds" game is expected to be released by March 7, which is a bit later than the previous scheduled date of Feb. 21.

Through a statement on Steam from Associate Producer of TT Games' Chris Rose, he explained that the reason for the delay is that the developers want to be happy with the final output before unveiling it to the public.

"With many late nights for our dev team, we're now happy to move ahead and make sure that the release is up to the standard our Early Access players, and ourselves, expect it to be," Rose added.

In addition, Rose also announced in the PlayStation blog that the game will be available for PlayStation 4 consoles.

Aside from that, the game will also be available for Xbox One. A Nintendo Switch version of the game is also reportedly underway but will have a later release date that is yet to be confirmed by Warner Bros and TT Games.

As for PC players, "LEGO Worlds" is already available through Steam's Early Access since June 2015 at $15, but its full version will be released in March 7 and it will then cost $30.

Players who purchased the Early Access will also have tokens from the developers upon release of the full version of the game. This would include a unique in-game hat for the character customizer and the "LEGO Worlds" soundtrack at no extra charge.

Like "Minecraft," "LEGO Worlds" is a sandbox game wherein players can build just about anything using Lego bricks. The game can be played individually, but it also offers a multiplayer option.

In addition, the PS4 version of the game will reportedly get the "LEGO Agents" downloadable content pack first which would contain more Lego-inspired characters, vehicles and weapons. It will then be available to the other platforms 90 days after its release.
