LG G3 Specs Revealed in Sprint UA Profile, Retail Box Appears in New Picture

The LG G3 is the follow up device to last year's G2 model and the new version's specs will receive a significant upgrade.

A Sprint user agent profile recently appeared and revealed what could be the actual specifications for the upcoming LG G3. One of the most impressive things about this list is that it reveals that the G3 will be one of the first smartphones to come with a qHD display with 2560x1440 resolution. This easily places the G3 ahead of the competition.

Other specs found in the list include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, a quad-core Krait 400 CPU, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot that supports up to 64GB, a rear-facing 13-megapixel camera, a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera, Android 4.4.2, KitKat, LTE connectivity and Wi-Fi connectivity.

These specs haven't been confirmed by LG at this time so all of them are subject to change. The 3GB of RAM is also a pretty impressive feat for a smartphone as many of the devices currently found on the market come with 2GB.

A photo of the retail packaging for the LG G3 appeared in a picture leaked by The Verge earlier this week. The photo shows a Golden box with an LG G3 logo on it. This could be a confirmation of the LG G3 model coming on Gold, however, that also has not been confirmed at this point.

The new LG handset is expected to be introduced at a special event on May 17, according to the latest rumors.

The LG G2 was one of the more low key handsets to launch last year. It was hailed by critics, but failed to create a significant buzz to make it a true competitor for other high-end handsets such as the Galaxy S4 and iPhone 5s.
