Lil Kim Sues Lawyer for $1 Million

Lil' Kim has reportedly filed a lawsuit against her former lawyer and his business partner who she claims tricked her into signing a series of bad licensing agreements.

The Brooklyn-born rapper, whose real name is Kimberly Denise Jones , reportedly filed a $1 million claim against attorney Sunny Barkats and Andrew Ro. They are accused of swindling her out of "valuable trademark and branding rights," according to the New York Post.

The 38-year-old claims that Barkats promised to deliver "multimillion dollar deals for [Kim's] brands" related to liquor, makeup, and fashion endorsements, according to a Manhattan Supreme Court suit.

Barkats allegedly gave himself and Ro a 44% stake in a corporation created to license Lil' Kim's brand names. The rapper allegedly discovered the matter in December 2012, however Barkats refused to cancel her agreement, the singer claims.

The lawsuit comes just days after Lil' Kim lashed out on social networking site Twitter, claiming various blogs were editing photos to make her appear less attractive.

The rapper was most recently photographed heading to MTV studios in New York City on Thursday where she was promoting her fifth studio album. Various blogs including urban site MediaTakeOut.com published unflattering photos of the rapper which she claims were deliberately edited.

"TeamLilKim Ive put up with lies & b------- from the blogs for too long. Years & years they have been photoshopping pics of me & sabotaging my image. I'm not putting up with that s--- no more," Lil' Kim wrote in a series of tweets.

The rapper shared what she claimed to be "unedited" photos with her 750,000 Twitter followers, which made her look far less bloated.

"Today was the last straw. You saw me on TV, people were posting pics all day... None of them looked the way that fake picture looked," she tweeted adding "None of y'all Paps is getting a pic now."
