Lil Wayne Involved in Scuffle With Trick Daddy for Miami Heat Comments

Lil Wayne reportedly engaged in a scuffle with fellow rapper Trick Daddy in Miami recently stemming from comments that the former made about the South Florida NBA team the Miami Heat.

Wayne, the 30-year-old rapper, reportedly showed up to the Miami gentlemen's club King of Diamonds where he was confronted by the 39-year-old Miami rapper Trick Daddy. The latter reportedly threw a cigarette in Lil Wayne's face and a scuffle ensued, according to Vlad TV reports.

Trick Daddy previously spoke about his issues with Lil Wayne and others who he felt disrespected his city.

"I don't care who be offended by what I say. I rep my city and want nobody disrespecting," Trick Daddy told Miami's 99 JAMZ last February. "I can't go nowhere else, this is my home. So from now on, when they get here, they're going to have to start checking in."

The 30-year-old rapper born Dewayne Carter fired off about Heat players Lebron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade at the birthday celebration for his friend and Cash Money record label CEO Bryan "Birdman" Williams. However, Carter also called 99 JAMZ radio station in Miami to apologize for his initial statements about Heat forward James.

"That's my homie, and it just slipped out," the rapper admitted. "I ain't mean to say that."

Although Carter seemed to regret his statement about James, the rapper stood by his claims about Wade and Bosh's wife, Adrienne. Entertainment writer Karen Civil reportedly attended the Williams' party and tweeted about Wayne's rant during NBA All-Star weekend.

"(Expletive) the Heat, (expletive) Lebron, (expletive) shewayde [sic] and I (expletive) Chris Bosh wife," Wayne said, according to Civil's tweets.

The rapper told 99 JAMZ that he and Wade had a falling out during a Heat game against the Los Angeles Lakers where he cheered for the California-based basketball team.

"We don't (expletive) with you," Wade told the rapper, according to Carter's retelling on the radio station.

After the game, the rapper took to his Twitter last February to make a claim that he was asked to leave the Heat's American Airlines Arena in Miami after he decided to root for the Lakers.

However Lorrie-Ann Diaz, a Heat representative, insisted that Wayne left the Heat game on his own in an email to USA Today.
