Lindsay Lohan Retains Fired Attorney, Returns to Betty Ford Center

Lindsay Lohan has reportedly retained her former attorney Shawn Holley months after firing her, with reports claiming the troubled actress asked Holley to help resolve her latest rehab crisis.

It was alleged Thursday that Los Angeles prosecutors were preparing to have a warrant issued for Lohan's arrest after the "Mean Girls" star failed to check into a rehab facility despite a court order instructing her to do so. In March, Lohan, 26, was ordered to return to rehab for 90 days as part of a plea deal relating to charges stemming from a car accident in June.

"Lindsay cut a last minute deal with the D.A. to go to Betty Ford. Shawn Holley helped to broker the agreement with [Los Angeles] City Attorney [Terry White] late Thursday night," a source close to situation told RadarOnline.com.

Lohan, who was represented by New York-based attorney Mark Heller up until April 2, was supposed to check into a facility by midnight that same day and failed to do so, which prompted talks of an arrest warrant. Heller recommended Morningside Recovery facility in Newport Beach, Calif. Shortly before checking in, Lohan allegedly discovered the facility previously had its license revoked.

"Lindsay cannot stand her current lawyer and thinks he doesn't know what he is doing. So late Thursday, from hiding, she began calling emailing Shawn incessantly. Shawn has always had a soft spot for Lindsay, even after everything she has pulled. She hates to see her suffering," the source said.

The troubled actress is currently at the Betty Ford Center, which is the same facility she checked into back in 2010. During her initial stay she engaged in a physical altercation with a staff member, which prompted a civil lawsuit.

Lohan has allegedly been in court at least 19 times since being arrested in 2007. Additionally, she has spent at least 250 days in rehab, 35 days in home confinement, has completed 67 days of community service, spent 19 days in court and has made six trips to jail, according to CNN.
