Liverpool will be desperate to get one over on their bitter rivals on Sunday, and manager Brendan Rodgers will be making a full 11 changes from the second-string side he put out for Thursday's Europa League win at Young Boys.

Meanwhile Manchester United had a tough game against Turkish side Galatasaray during the week but still managed to come out 1-0 winners. That has become the story of their season so far following their opening game defeat to Everton - they have not played anywhere near their best but still managed to come away with the win.

Given Liverpool's poor form so far this year most pundits would predict a Manchester United win. However, Liverpool have a knack of raising themselves for the big games and they do not come much bigger than this for the Merseysiders. This is exactly the kind of big game that players such as Steven Gerrard thrive on, and many times in the past he has come away with the winner in these kinds of matches. A win here would potentially kick start their season and re-inspire a frustrated fan-base.

Ahead of the game Sir Alex Ferguson has called on both sets of fans to respect one another after years of booing and horrific chanting have gone too far. Segments of both sets of fans have openly goaded the other about the Manchester Munich air disaster, and the Liverpool Hillsborough tragedy over recent years. Ferguson has called for the "disgusting" chants to stop this year.

One thing's for certain; this will be a match played at the highest intensity with tensions unbearably high on both sides. It has all the makings for a classic. The match kicks off at 8.30 a.m. ET, and can be watched online through live stream by clicking here.
