Liverpool will once again place the burden of scoring goals to Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez after the pair has been instrumental in their attack so far this season even though they failed to score against West Brom.

West Brom beat Liverpool in the Premier League last season and they will travel to Merseyside full of confidence after playing quality football the last several weeks.

Despite a slow start to the campaign, the Baggies are now unbeaten in their last five Premier League games, including a 2-1 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford and a 1-1 draw with league leaders Arsenal.

The Baggies have won on their last two visits to Anfield and former Liverpool assistant boss Steve Clarke will be hoping he can guide them to a memorable hat-trick.

Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho has returned to training, but it is likely he will not see playing time until next week against Arsenal.

Left-back Jose Enrique is likely to sit out a second successive week as he recovers from a knee injury.

Winger Scott Sinclair will miss out this week as he is still recovering from the hamstring injury he sustained against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Manchester United are in need of a win as the defending champions currently sit mid-table and will need a full three points if they are to work their way back up the table.
