Madden NFL 15 Release Date: Features Most 'Immersive Defensive Gameplay Control in Franchise History'

Madden NFL 15 will launching in the U.S. August 26, EA revealed in an announcement earlier this week.

EA said the game will be available on all platforms – Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, and PS3, and will then release in Europe on August 29.

In the game's press release, EA boldly stated the game will feature "the most immersive defensive gameplay control in franchise history," and there will be a new "broadcast presentation" with many new features that the previous installment.

According to Polygon, fans will be able to vote for the player on the cover, but those details will be available on May 8 during the NFL Draft broadcast on the NFL Network and ESPN.

EA released a 30 second trailer of the game, which shows off the graphics of a player, but features no gameplay.

"Watch a sneak peek of Carolina Panthers defensive player of the year Luke Kuechly become Madden. See the full transformation of Madden NFL 15 and Luke Kuechly this June," the description on YouTube reads.

Last year EA released Madden 25 in honor of the game's 25th anniversary. It was the first year the date of the game was not attached to the title.

"The Madden NFL 25 Anniversary Edition was the best-selling sports game preorder in Amazon.com history," said John Love, Director of Video Games for Amazon reports Yahoo. "Our customers have responded and we have certainly seen a significant growth in Madden NFL sales this year versus last year."

Just like last year, fans can be sure EA Sports improved the graphics, running controls, real-time physics, and have created more reactive environments.
