Man Who Threatened Obama Assassination on Facebook Arrested in Fla.

A Florida man has been arrested for threatening U.S. President Barack Obama during his trip to Miami, it was announced on Monday.

Joaquin Amador Serrapio, a 20-year-old from South Florida, allegedly made threats against the president via social networking site Facebook. He was arrested after federal agents raided the home he resides at with his mother last Thursday.

When searching the home federal agents discovered an Apple iPad from which Serrapio allegedly made the threats, as well as two guns, a rife-style pellet gun and a handgun style pellet gun.

President Obama was in Miami last Thursday for two fundraising events and to give a speech on energy at the University of Miami.

"Who wants to help assassinate Obummer while hes at UM this week?" Serrapio is said to have written under the alias "Jay Valor."

"If anyones going to UM to see obama today, get ur phones out an record. Cause at any moment im gonna put a bullet through his head and you don't wanna miss that! Youtube!" he allegedly added.

According to the criminal complaint, Serrapio also sent text messages to a friend saying that he was "challenging" the administration.

"I know I can be killed by this communist administration and im challenging them, Lets see what those mother-ckers got," he allegedly wrote. "Hell yeah im a boss an the secret service will find that out soon."

Serrapio was arrested for making threats against the president, which is a federal offense. He reportedly admitted to police that he had indeed posted the threats against Obama on Facebook.

The 20-year-old has pleaded not guilty, and is due to be arraigned in federal court on March 9. Serrapio could be sentenced to five years behind bars if found guilty.
