Manchester United vs Aston Villa Live Stream: Watch English Premier League Football Online

Manchester United plays host to Aston Villa on Monday night and will secure the Premier League title, should they come away with a victory.

Manchester United and manager Sir Alex Ferguson have enjoyed a comfortable lead atop the league for most of the season and welcomed news of rivals Manchester City losing to Tottenham over the weekend, given that the loss opened the opportunity for United to claim the trophy on Monday.

While the Red Devils can secure the English title, they also have an opportunity to set a new season points record, which is currently held by Chelsea and former manager Jose Mourinho when the club earned 95 points in 2005. To do so, United would have to win their remaining games.

Ferguson did previously admit that not winning the title in the closing moments of last season gave him and his club the motivation to get back to championship form and win an astounding 20th top flight title this year.

For Aston villa and manager Paul Lambert the match will have its own set of consequences for the club, as they currently are just one place above relegation. They will look to make a game out of it since all three teams currently in danger of relegation lost over the weekend.

The Queens Park Rangers and Reading are now 10 points away from reaching the drop line, and should Aston Villa defeat the Queens Park Rangers. Reading would be relegated automatically.

The third team in danger of relegation is Wigan, who lost 2-0 to West Ham. The victory gives Villa a chance to increase the lead from three to six points with a win, but even a draw keeps a two game advantage in favor of Villa.

Villa have been playing well as of late, having won three of their last five matches.

Kick-off for the match is at 3:00 p.m. ET and can be watched online here.
