Martha Stewart Naughty Joke About Sausage Casings Sparks Controversy

The “Martha Stewart Show” got a little racy when its host, food and living guru Martha Stewart, joked about the appearance of sausage casings.

Stewart was joined by butcher and sausage maker Ryan Farr on Wednesday’s show. As Farr showed Stewart the casings for the sausages he would prepare, Stewart held them saying, “So these are more like rubber balloons actually…. or condoms."

“I don’t know if I wanna use it as a condom,” Farr quipped, to which Stewart quickly responded: "Bet they would work," since they are "good enough for sausage."

Farr laughed off Stewart’s uncomfortable comparison.

Stewart’s daughter, Alexis Stewart, 46, released a book this year entitled “Whateverland: Learning to Live Here.”

The book depicts Martha Stewart in a less than homely light, alleging she often urinated with the bathroom door open and hid from trick-or-treaters during Halloween.

The mother and daughter have since salvaged their relationship.
