Lastly, he took home an award for his collaborative effort for "Special Event Album of the Year" for this year's Passion: Let The Future Begin record.

Redman recently spoke to the Christian Post about the success of 10,000 Reasons.

"I love seeing worship music make an appearance in everyday media and culture. Take for example my friend Chris Tomlin having a number one record on the Billboard chart earlier this year. That makes me happy – to see the songs we sing at church making an appearance at the top of the USA chart," he said. "All of us worship leaders are writing songs for the church to sing, but when there's a little nod from outside of the church, it's a good moment. So yes, for me the Grammy's, and the Billboard awards and all that kind of thing has been a big encouragement to me this year."

The worship leader recently released his new album, Your Grace Finds Me, which has been climbing over the various Christian charts.

"One reason we picked the title song as the radio single was that grace is such an important theme for this world to hear about. The theme of grace is an amazing window into the heart of God. Everyone gets to experience the grace of God, whether they recognize that or not. By that I mean that His freely given gifts show up in our lives each day, in all sorts of ways. Even the very act of breathing is grace – we didn't earn it, it's the kindness of God towards us," he said to CP.

"Ultimately we want to take people to the cross of Christ – and that of course is the best example of grace we'll ever see. So the song says, "'From the creation to the cross, there from the cross into eternity ...Your grace finds me.'"

Redman is currently on a European tour, the "God's Great Dance Floor - Worship Tour."

"I've had a lot of affirmation as a worship songwriter recently, and particularly around the '10,000 Reasons' song. I won't ever take that for granted. I guess an award like this is a sign that the song has connected with the church and ultimately people's hearts and lives, so that makes me super glad," he said in a press release upon learning of his wins.
