Meagan Good Using Blog to Preach Gospel?

Meagan Good, the 31-year-old Christian actress, seems to be using her celebrity to spread the word of God through blogging.

Good has been vocal about her Christian faith and spoken up about God's role in her marriage to Hollywood producer and preacher DeVon Franklin. However, in a recent blog posted on WhoSay.com, Good goes a step further to explain her take on Matthew 23:8-12.

The Bible passage highlighted by Good states, "But you are not to be called 'Rabbi,' for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers. And do not call anyone on earth 'father,' for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah. The greatest among you will be your servant. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.(NIV)"

Good elaborated on the passage further in her blog posting for WhoSay.com.

"Don't let people do that to you, put you on a pedestal like that. You all have a single Teacher,& you are all classmates," Good wrote. "Don't set people up as experts over your life, letting them tell you what to do. Save that authority for God; let him tell you what to do."

In the message that Good also posted on her Twitter account for over 500,000 fans to see, the actress explains that God is the only entity that should be referred to as father.

"No one else should carry the title of 'Father'; you have only one Father, and he's in heaven. And don't let people maneuver you into taking charge of them," Good wrote. "There is only one Life-Leader for you and them~ Christ."

The actress let people know the importance of taking on the mindset of a servant.

"Do you want to stand out? Then step down. Be a servant," Good wrote. "If you puff yourself up, you'll get the wind knocked out of you. But if your content to simply be yourself, your life will count for plenty."
