Melissa Gilbert Wedding to Timothy Busfield a 'Private Ceremony' for Couple

Melissa Gilbert married Timothy Busfield in California on Wednesday, the couple revealed. They wed "in a private ceremony at San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara," Gilbert's rep has confirmed.

It was a quick engagement, given that Gilbert and Busfield just got engaged over the holidays. Both have been married twice before and have their own children from those marriages; both have had successful acting careers and have settled into their life together with apparent easy and quietness.

Gilbert, of course, is still known for her role on "Little House on the Prairie," which starred Michael Landon. She grew up playing middle daughter Laura, aka "Half-Pint" and grew up in front of a large TV audience. Since then, Gilbert has gone on to guest star on TV series and in TV movies.

She actually came full circle and played the role of "Ma" Ingalls in a touring production of "Little House on the Prairie: The Musical." Most recently, Gilbert appeared on "Dancing With the Stars" but suffered a mild concussion and was taken to a hospital; she was eliminated a few weeks later.

Busfield not only starred on "Thirtysomething" but also "The West Wing," for which he won a Primetime Emmy Award for best supporting actor in a drama series. Busfield is the founder of a non-profit theater for children, the B Street Theater.

The two married at the San Ysidro Ranch, which has been a popular wedding destination for Hollywood couples throughout the ages. According to People magazine, Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman had their rehearsal dinner at the Ranch, and Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie stayed there on their wedding night.

"Hey @peoplemag re: San Ysidro Ranch, Lawrence Olivier and Vivian Leigh were married & John and Jackie Kennedy honeymooned there!!" Gilbert tweeted.
