Memorial Service to be Held for Vestal Goodman

Vestal Goodman has been reported to have died as a result of complications from the flu on Saturday, December 27 at 11:00 PM EST. She was 74 years old. The Alabama-born Gospel pioneer was visiting family in Florida.

Those wishing to attend a memorial service for the "Queen of Gospel Music," can go to Christ Church Memorial Gardens on New Year's Day at 1 PM. The church is located on 15354 Old Hickory Blvd, Nashville, TN. Visitation time at Christ Church will be allowed on Wednesday, December 31 from 6-8 PM and Thursday, January 1, beginning at 10 AM.
