MercyMe at American Music Awards

MercyMe attends its American Music Awards show last Sunday night (11/16) in Los Angeles, as nominees for Favorite Contemporary Inspirational Artist. Other nominees for Favorite Contemporary Inspirational Artist included Stevis Curtis Chapman, who eventually won the award for the category and Third Day.

Mercy Me recently received RIAA Gold certification for Spoken For, which released fall 2002, has remained in the top 20 for a full year.

Earlier this month, MercyMe wrapped up Michael W. Smith's "Celebration Tour" where the band performed as a featured guest. The group also recently added a new guitarist named Barry Graul.
