'Middle-earth: Shadow of War' Gameplay News: Orcs Have Their Strengths as Their Weaknesses

A noticeable feat in "Middle-earth: Shadow of War" is that orcs have strengths that also play into their weaknesses.

In "Shadow of War," — where Tailon and the spirit of elf lord Celebrimbor continue to create a new Ring of Power to be able to build an army against Sauron — Video Gamer reveals that orcs have strengths that also play as their weakness.

In this "Middle-earth" sequel, sharpshooter orcs have been noticed to be weak in their arrow pins. There are also some orc beastmasters who do not like caragors. There's also the nemesis Mozu who has a big fear of poison but is also equipped with poisonous weaponry.

Although there's no official explanation for it, there are speculations that it has something more to do with the orc's origin than it being a strategy for the game.

One theory is that orcs forced to become highly skilled in the things that they are weak about. In the case of Mozu, since he was once brought down by a poison attack, it's possible that he decided to face his fears and become strong in the use of poisoned weapons.

Another speculation is that orcs were just forced by their overlord to become strong at a skill that they are vulnerable from. If orcs are able to execute into making their weaknesses their actual strengths, then their army would be very useful to Tailon in battle because of fewer vulnerabilities.

Meanwhile, another plus that Windows Central also revealed is that there are a lot of loot items scattered around in "Middle-earth: Shadow of War."

Items lying on the ground are often collectibles, which can either be unlockable gear or items that lead to completing achievements in the game. Another way to generously find loot is by killing high-level orcs as part of the Nemesis system.

"Middle-earth: Shadow of War" is available on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
