'Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates' Movie News: Upcoming Movie's Latest Trailer Bode Well for Raunchy Comedy

The Red Band trailer of 20th Century Fox and Chernin Entertainment's "Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates" is finally out, and it bodes well for a raunchy comedy that will surely entertain the moviegoers this summer.

Starring Adam DeVine and Zac Efron in the titular roles, respectively, the movie follows the lives of two hard-partying and irresponsible brothers who resort to placing an online ad to find themselves a wedding date for their sister's Hawaiian wedding. As the duo appears on a television talk show, they catch the attention of two girls who will eventually become their respective wedding dates. However, the two girls, Alice and Tatiana (played by Anna Kendrick and Aubrey Plaza, respectively) are not really interested in the brothers. Rather, they hatch a plan to get their attention in order for them to travel to Hawaii for free.

This is not the first time for Efron and Plaza to work together as both were part of the Robert De Niro comedy movie, "Dirty Grandpa," which was shown earlier this year. Now that they're back to share the screen once more via "Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates," moviegoers can expect more comedy from the two as they are joined by DeVine and Kendrick, much more that the movie's script was penned by Andrew J. Cohen and Brendan O'Brien, who also scribed the hit comedy "Neighbors," which, incidentally, has a sequel coming this summer, too.

Slash Film expressed worry over the possibility that "Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates" might not offer something different from those other wedding-themed comedies have already shown, such as "Meet the Parents" and "Wedding Crashers." However, basing on the recent trailer of the movie, the entertainment website opined that seeing Plaza and Kendrick getting crazy together and just as reckless and raunchy as the male leads promises a lot of fun.

"Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates" arrives in theaters on July 18.
