Miley Cyrus has delivered a surprising performance during DJ Borgore's "Christmas" concert over the weekend.
The Los Angeles party saw the Israeli DJ perform and included dancers who were scantily clad. When 20-year-old Cyrus joined Borgore on stage, the audience erupted in applause.
"I really wanted her here, really," Borgore told Rolling Stone magazine, explaining his excitement to have Cyrus perform with him. "I feel like the second I go on the mic and there's another person on the mic, it goes extremely well."
The performance was not the first time Cyus had collaborated with the DJ. The pair worked on Borgore's track "Decisions" together once before.
"I didn't think twice before we did this," added Borgore speaking to the magazine. "I was so certain this is gonna work."
While the performance excited audience members, Cyrus took the stage alongside topless dancers and wore a revealing outfit herself. The former Disney star donned a black cropped-top, tight pants and over-the-knee snakeskin boots paired with a chain that ran from her neck to her waist.
In response to her risqué performance, online users sounded off.
"Has this girl lost her mind," asked one reader, Callie, on E! News. "Her Disney career must have burned out her brain. She looks horrible with that hair and a double chin."
Emily added, "She is barely an adult, she is only 20 years old. And regardless, mature adults generally don't associate themselves with topless strippers. She also has a strange style that we are not used to and don't really understand it, and just seems a bit too over the top for her."
On Twitter, some fans defended Cyrus' unusual performance.
"Umm, @MileyCyrus has been grown up for awhile now," wrote VH1. "Please stop pretending you're shocked."
This is not the first time the singer and actress has surprised her fans. The "Hannah Montana" star recently chopped her hair off and dyed the short style platinum blonde.
As for her own musical career, Cyrus is expected to release her fourth studio album next year. Her latest project will feature collaborations with hip-hop star Pharrell Williams as well as rapper Mac Miller, among others.
Meanwhile, Cyrus is engaged to "The Hunger Games" star Liam Hemsworth.
