Billy Ray has yet to respond, the last time the pair engaged in an online chat being on June 3 when her father wished her success with her latest single.

Billy Ray and Leticia "Tish" Cyrus are reportedly headed for divorce after 19-years of marriage.

Tish, 53, reportedly filed for divorce from the country-music singer on Thursday, more than two years after the pair agreed to salvage their strained marriage. The mother-of-five requested "privacy" in a statement released shortly after her filing.

"This is a personal matter and we are working to find a resolution that is in the best interest of our family. We ask that you respect our privacy at this time," Tish said in a statement obtained by People magazine.

Billy Ray, 51, made his own request for privacy in a separate statement. It is still unclear what exactly prompted Tish's divorce filing however Billy Ray assured fans that the divorce is in his family's "best interest."

"This is a personal matter and we are doing what is in the best interest of our family. We ask that you respect our privacy at this time," Billy Ray said.

Tish, who shares three biological children with Billy Ray, is said to be seeking primary physical and legal custody of their daughter, Noah, 13. She is also reportedly seeking alimony and all attorney's fees and costs that are incurred throughout the divorce proceedings.
