Miley Cyrus Daring Billboard Awards Outfit Divides Opinion

Miley Cyrus has made a splash after donning only a white blazer paired with heels at Sundays Billboard Music Awards.

The double-breasted Jean Paul Gaultier blazer featured a plunging neckline as the short hemline of the jacket revealed most of the star's legs. Cyrus also wore her hair in a short 60's-inspired bob and sported minimal jewelry.

Recently, Cyrus has been criticized for her apparent weight loss as well as her more provocative outfits. The 19-year-old caught more flack for her daring look Sunday with numerous celebrities and fans sounding off on Twitter.

The singer and actress was named on both the best and worst dressed celebrity lists following Sunday's awards ceremony.

In the past, the former Disney star has addressed comments about her sexy image. During a recent interview on Lifetime's "The Conversation with Amanda de Cadenet," Cyrus explained her approach.

"If people find that [I am a sex symbol] I take it as a compliment," said the "Party in the U.S.A." singer. "Thank you for thinking I'm sexy!"

Of the media's criticism, the actress noted, "People are so scared of seeing a woman being like, 'This is who I am and you're not going to change it.'"

Following her child stardom, Cyrus said her new adult image feels liberating.

"I just got so set in the way of saying the same things I did when I was 12 years old…," said Cyrus. "I guess I kind of realized that my whole life isn't one giant press junket. I don't have to be smiling and always have the perfect answer."
