Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth Split: Wedding Off?

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have reportedly called off their engagement nine months after the Australian actor proposed, following recent cheating claims.

Hemsworth, 23, was accused of cheating on Cyrus, 20, during a pre-Oscars party with actress January Jones. While he is yet to address the cheating claims, a new report suggests he has grown tired of Cyrus' behavior.

"Liam and Miley are done," a source told Us magazine. "Miley put her career on hold to spend all her time on Liam. Now that she's back recording her fourth album, he's not happy. She says she's over it."

On Feb. 23, Hemsworth reportedly arrived at the famed Chateau Marmont hotel for the pre-Oscars event without Cyrus, who he has been involved with for two years. Jones, 35, also attended the event and unlikely pair was reportedly caught in an intimate embrace.

"It looked like they had some hot chemistry," one onlooker told Star magazine. "They were all over each other and they even kissed!"

Over the past 12 months, the former Disney star has drastically changed her image, which has led to criticisms that she may be troubled.

Once hailed for her wholesome image, Cyrus is now known for her edgy, punky style appearance and wild behavior. In recent months she has lost a substantial amount of weight; changed hairstyles repeatedly; got her 10th tattoo; she also has been accused of frequently cutting her wrists and drinking excessively at a recent event.

"Liam fell in love with how free spirited she is, but now he's struggling to understand this transformation," a source continued regarding Cyrus' new image.

During Hemsworth's alleged night out with Jones, Cyrus made a solo appearance at Sir Elton John's Oscar party, where onlookers say she appeared to be out of it.

"[Miley] was all over the place," a source told Star about the singer's behavior at John's star-studded party. Some critics have associated this statement with excessive drinking.

Los Angeles-based psychologist Dr. Seth Meyers believes that Cyrus' extreme behavior is simply a cry for "attention."

"Miley Cyrus seems stuck in a set of compulsive behaviors that cry out for attention. [Her] parade of unusual and provocative behavior recently reminds me of Britney Spears' downward spiral in the past," Meyers previously told RadarOnline.com.
