Miley Cyrus Robbed: Singer's House Burglarized Ahead of 21st Birthday Party

Miley Cyrus' Los Angeles home was reportedly burglarized on Friday, just one day before her 21st birthday.

The "Wrecking Ball" singer was not home during the heist, however property was stolen and she is said to be devastated. Cyrus planned to host a big birthday bash to mark her milestone birthday on Saturday, however it is unclear whether this will still take place.

"She's extremely upset and a lot of personal items were stolen," a source told Us magazine. "She's really shaken up about the whole thing."

The heist comes two months after the former Disney star announced her split from Liam Hemsworth. The pair got engaged in 2012 and split due to ongoing differences.

"I want to be really clear and determined with everything I'm doing in my life right now ... I am genuinely happy, finally with myself," she previously told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.

"I think it takes you separating yourself from someone else to really be happy with who you are," she explained.

In August the pop star made headlines over her lewd MTV VMAs performance. Reports claimed that her evolving image added strain to her relationship.

The "Hunger Games" actor, 23, recently alluded to being on good terms with Cyrus, despite their broken engagement.

"I'm extremely happy for all of her success," he told Extra.

Cyrus is expected to perform at the American Music Awards at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday.
