Miley Cyrus 'Sad,' Receiving Support from Liam Hemsworth During Parents' Divorce

Miley Cyrus has reportedly turned to her fiance, Liam Hemsworth, for support following her father's recent divorce filing.

Famed country singer, Billy Ray Cyrus, recently filed to end his marriage to Miley's mother Tish, 53, after 19-yeas of marriage. Miley, 20, is said to be struggling emotionally with the divorce however Hemsworth is said to be helping her though it despite reports claiming the pair called off their engagement.

"For sure, [Liam's supporting her]. She's upset, yes, but she's an adult and will be fine. She loves both her parents and they will always be in her life," a source told HollywoodLife.com.

In a joint statement Billy Ray, 51, assured fans that his divorce filing is in his family's "best interest."

"This is a personal matter and we are doing what is in the best interest of our family. We ask that you respect our privacy at this time," Billy Ray said in a statement obtained by People magazine.

Miley, who has been photographed spending more time with her mother in recent days, reportedly feels helpless and "sad" over the divorce.

"She's taking it as well as she can. No one wants their parents to end a marriage. Billy Ray and Tish are awesome people and even better parents. Miley's sad, of course, but that's between her parents. There's not much she can do," the source said.

In a recent interview the "Ashtrays and Heartbreaks" singer denied claims suggesting she and Hemsworth, 23, had split. The former Disney star was photographed with pop singer Justin Bieber in recent weeks which sparked dating rumors, however she dismissed the reports as "impossible."

"I'm engaged!" Miley told radio station Hot 99.5 when asked about the photos of her and Bieber. "I'm engaged, that's impossible."

Miley first began dating the Australian actor in 2009 after meeting on the set of the 2010 film "The Last Song" and he proposed in 2012.
