Gina Schulman, a spokeswoman for Cosgrove said the accident happened early Thursday morning on Interstate 70 near Vandalia, 70 miles northeast of St. Louis. The reports said Cosgrove’s bus crashed into a tractor trailer.

“There were five passengers on the bus, and Miranda suffered a broken ankle,” said Schulman to “Us Weekly.” “At this time, we are told everyone will be fine.

This is the second concert this year that will be canceled at the PNE. The first being a show by the rock band Cheap Trick. They canceled their September 1 show after finding out that the stage used at the venue was made by the same manufacturers of the structure that collapsed during their Ottawa show in July.

“It’s two in one year, it’s certainly disappointing because we work really, really hard to come up with the right entertainment mix,” said PNE spokeswoman Laura Balance.

“It was an obviously unfortunate reason why she had to cancel and we hope everybody associated with the tour are okay,” said Balance.

Cosgrove is touring in support of her album “High Maintenance.”

Aside from the singer, three other people on the bus suffered injuries from the accident.
