Miranda Lambert Losing Weight? Singer Appears Slimmer

Miranda Lambert showed off a slimmer figure in a black dress at the BMI Country Awards in Nashville, Tenn. This week.

The country music superstar has famously defended her fluctuating weight in the past. However, Lambert displayed clear weight loss in Nashville on Tuesday, Nov. 5 wearing a sleeveless black dress and high-heels.

The "House That Built Me" singer is outspoken about her curvier figure, and in the past, even admitted her adversity to working out and a refusal to give up certain foods.

"I don't care about being stick-thin," she once told Self Magazine. "I don't want stuff to jiggle. Really skinny actresses make me hungry. I see them and think, 'Honey, you need to eat!' I'm lucky I don't have to live like that."

Nevertheless, the "White Liar" singer admitted she likes to avoid feeling "flabby."

"I feel my best when I'm toned, not flabby, size 8," she continued. "Women come up to me and say, 'You're beautiful and confident,' and that makes me feel I can be, too."

The singer went on to say she "absolutely hates exercise," but that she does it anyway.

"I love it afterward, of course," Lambert added, before noting some changes to her eating habits.

"I always scarf down food after a show," she explained to Self. "But now, instead of eating a burger, I'll have a grilled chicken salad waiting for me."

However, Lambert said staying fit will not get in the way of her favorite foods.

"I won't give up what I enjoy to look perfect," said the singer. "I want to find a happy medium between feeling good about my body and still having a beer and some barbecue."

Meanwhile, Lambert and her husband Blake Shelton are preparing for the CMA Awards on Wednesday, Nov. 6th. They are each nominated for five awards.

The nominees of the 47th annual CMA Awards also include Taylor Swift and Kacey Musgraves, who each lead with six nominations apiece.

Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will host the awards show, which takes place on ABC live from Nashville.
