NeNe Leakes Addresses Claims Of Getting Marlo Hampton Kicked Off 'RHOA' Reunion

NeNe Leakes is addressing rumors about making sure that her former friend Marlo Hampton stayed far away from the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" reunion show.

Rumors recently swirled about Leakes' pulling some strings to make sure Hampton was not on the show during the final reunion episodes for season six.

"NeNe wants nothing to do with her, so she made a few phone calls and demanded that Marlo not be there," a source reportedly told Radar Online.

However, Leakes denied the claims. When one fan questioned Leakes about the gossip on Twitter, the actress did not hesitate to respond.

"It's true u told the producer not 2 bring marlo," one person told Leakes on Twitter to which she responded, "Not true! They always said she's not the Bravo brand."

Hampton, the socialite who became popular on "Real Housewives of Atlanta" believes a friendship with Leakes is possible again after the pair engaged in a verbal altercation on and off the reality television series.

"It's definitely possible," Marlo told RadarOnline about a rekindled friendship with Leakes earlier this year. "Where I'm sitting right now in this chair, that's the last person on my mind."

However Hampton made it clear that she did not believe being friends with Leakes was an easy task.

"NeNe does better with mimes as friends," Marlo told RadarOnline previously. "It's okay as long as you're praising her and being her cheerleader, but as soon as you go to disagree, it's a problem."

Still, Hampton previously apologized for engaging in a feud with her former friend on and off of their show.

"I need to do better. I can't promise you I'll turn the other cheek if I'm slapped, (don't suggest anyone try me, I'm not there yet) but be patient ya'll, God is still working on me," she wrote in her blog Musings From the Boudoir. "So… I apologize for my part in this shameful drama that reinforces stereotypes about who we are as black women. And pray that one day we'll realize nobody wins when even one of us loses."
