Nicki Minaj Tweets About Jesus Christ on Christmas

Nicki Minaj did not forget the true meaning of Christmas, as she tweeted to her fans about Jesus Christ on the holiday..

The entertainer tweeted the John 3:16 scripture to close to eight million followers on Christmas.

"For God so loved the world, he gave his only begotten son; that whosoever believeth in him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life," Minaj tweeted. "Merry Christmas & God bless you all!"

Minaj, who recently filmed her performance for “Dick Clark-New Year's Rockin' Eve,” which will air Dec. 31, celebrated numerous accolades in 2011 on the heels of her debut album Pink Friday.

Just this month, the performer was recently named Billboard’s Rising Star earlier this year and tearfully accepted the award at a ceremony.

“I am deeply honored to be recognized by Billboard," Minaj recently said of the honor. “My nation of Barbz and I have come a mighty long way – yet we are nowhere close to where God will take us. Sit back and enjoy the ride."

The performer was also recently recognized, with boss Lil Wayne, with a “Teacher of the Year” award from South Florida’s Better Education Place. The rappers were awarded for their impact on students.

Minaj has recognized her fans publicly, calling them her family in a Billboard report.

"They're my family... Whenever I can, I try to spend quality time with them. They make me happy, give me life,” Minaj said. “They inspire me to work harder -- hold me up when I'm down. I wouldn't be here without them.”

The rapper was recently featured on singer Sean Kingston’s latest single, “Born to be Wild” and will perform during the 2012 Super Bowl with Madonna.
