Coming into the semi-final Djokovic still has not lost a set through this year's tournament. He beat Berdych 7-6 (7-5) 6-4 6-3.

However, despite his straight sets win, Djokovic did have some problems through the encounter, and Berdych twice broke in the second set to lead 3-0. However, when the pressure was applied by Djokovic then Berdych ended up making too many mistakes and ended up losing the second set 6-4 as Djokovic stormed back.

In today's semi-final, former champion Djokovic will play Argentina's Juan Martin del Potro, who beat David Ferrer in straight sets.

The Argentine did suffer a bad fall earlier in the tournament but is confident he can push Djokovic in the semi-final. He said, "I have experience with injuries. I know it's the semi-finals of a Grand Slam. All the players feel something, some pains, it's normal. I have my knee problem, but my opponent could have different injuries. You have to be stronger than the rest."

He added, "I will need to be 100% or 110% against him. But if I'm OK, if I do everything good to be ready for my next match, it will be exciting to play against him."
