However, tensions may be even higher this year with both teams in dire form, and so far 2012 has been a season to forget for both teams. Both would love nothing better than to get one over on their old rivals, but should things go wrong for either tensions could become explosive. Expect fireworks.

The Raiders have had a terribly poor rush offense so far this season, and Darren McFadden has only averaged just over three yards per carry so far this season.

However, despite their rush offense woes the Raiders have had the 9th ranked pass offense, with Carson Palmer leading the way to give the Oakland fans at least a glimmer of light in the season.

With the poor form of both these teams it could be tempting to write this game off into the black hole of insignificant games this week, however, because of the history between these two teams there is sure to be just as much intensity as ever, and neither side will be willing to concede a yard to the other.

The Raiders are coming into this game off the back of a come-from-behind win against the Jacksonville Jaguars, where as the Chiefs have had a bye week following three straight losses.
