'Orange is the New Black' Season 2 Spoilers: New Characters Introduced, Love Triangle a Focus (TRAILER VIDEO)

The hit Netflix series "Orange is the New Black" returns for its much-anticipated second season on Friday, June 6. Can't wait until then to know what happens this season? Read on for plenty of information and spoilers.

Season 2 opens just after the fight between Piper and Pennsatuckey, who suffered greatly at the hands of her fellow inmate. Thankfully, Pennsatuckey lives, but Piper is sent to solitary confinement as punishment.

"She goes to places we've never seen her before, and she's learning a lot more about herself," Taylor Schilling (Piper) revealed about her character's journey this season. "Piper's put into new situations that she never thought she would be put in, and there are different parts of her that start to emerge," she told Mashable.

Piper will not be the focus of this season, though, in order to allow the stories of other prisoners to be shared. Taystee and Crazy Eyes will get more screen time, and new cast members include Lori Petty and Lorraine Toussaint, who plays a woman running a drug ring that employs young children. These new characters' impact on the series regulars has not been released by creator Jenji Kohan, but are bound to cause quite a stir.

The love triangle between Piper, Alex, and Larry will also come to a head this season. Both Alex and Larry will begin separating from Piper, who cannot seem to make up her mind as to who she wants to be with. Larry possibly loses his mind over the situation and takes advantage of Piper's insecurity and vulnerability.

"Orange is the New Black" is an original Netflix series based on the book, "Orange is the New Black: My Year in a Women's Prison" by Piper Kerman. The book found a huge following that led to its being picked up and developed by Netflix. Fans have eagerly been awaiting the second season, which is sure to please.
